How to verify disabled elements

I want to verify a textbox, which its editability is disabled.
Tried to add an attribute in build verification, it doesn't work.
Anyone here can help please.

Hi Tony,

Thanks for evaluating WebUI Test Studio and the great question. So for reference, here is a link to the Ajax Control Kit example page for cascading drop downs.

For building a verification in the Build Verification Screen on one of the disabled drop downs in WebUI, please select 'Content' -> 'OuterMarkup' in the first drop down.

You'll see that the text field to the far right is automatically filled out and 'disabled' is part of the mark up. Please click the pencil icon to change the text field to just 'disable', then click the pencil icon again to close it.

Then, please change the middle drop down to 'Contains' and click OK in the upper right of the screen.

I've attached a screenshot for reference and tested this out in Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari. Please try something similar in your own text box verification.
