how to install internal build?

how do i install the internal builds? where do i need to put he assemblies? in GAC or somewhere else? and do i have to add them to the toolbox manually?

I downloaded the 00588RadControls_for_Silverlight_4_2010_1_0521_Dev.zip internal build and it didn't contain any readme file.  Please provide instructions on how to install this upgrade.

Hi!
I had my

RadControls for WinForms

Your current version: 2011.1 11.419 (Apr 19, 2011)  Installed.

I found a

• RadControls_For_WinForms_2011_1_11_510_Dev_hotfix.zip

May i know how to install it and use?

I try to replace the bin at my Program Files and use the update.exe in the bin to update my project.
It didn't work and the project crash. I just use test project which only had RadRibbonBar Form.

I need more info of this.

Hi Johnny,

The internal build contains the RadControls for WinForms assemblies only - there is no installer. The controls should be installed in both Visual Studio Toolbox and GAC manually.

The internal build is not an add-on to the assemblies of an official RadControl for WinForms version. This means that you can use this internal build without any version of RadControls for WinForms installed. Please refer to the full list of steps that will help you to use the assemblies in your application.

INSTALLATION and PROJECT UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS

1. Extract the assemblies from the archive in a folder. Make sure that you will not move or rename this folder later on.
2. Install the unzipped assemblies in the GAC. To do this, refer to the following knowledge base article:

Make sure that the Telerik.WinControls.UI.Design.dll and Telerik.WinControls.Themes.Office2010Black.dll is registered in the GAC as well, since it is required for the design-time of RadControls for WinForms.
3. Install the unzipped assemblies in the Visual Studio Toolbox. To do this, refer to the following knowledge base article:

4. Back up your project.
5. Update the references in your project. You may need to restart Visual Studio in order for this change to take effect (Visual Studio usually caches the assemblies).
