Hi all,
We need to write automated test scripts for our product. Our dev team have been using many technique to develop this software, Telerik is one of them. We have used Coded UI to create automated scripts for testing on this, but Coded UI can not recognize objects created by using Telerik. We did download Telerik Test Studio (trial version), installed it and tried to use it. However, there are some GUI objects in our software the Telerik tool does not recognize them. So we have some questions as below:
(Q1) Can we create a test script includes test steps created by Coded UI and test steps created from Telerik Test tool ?
(Q2) We want to create a test steps library, from this library we can pick up some test steps to create a test script. And this library includes all test steps ( created by Coded UI and Telerik tool ). Can we do this ? And how can we do if the answer is YES ?
We need to get a result from this researching and a demo before we can get approve for purchasing license from boss ! :-)

Thank you for trying Test Studio.
Maybe what you are after is what we call "test modularization". Test Studio has that feature using our Test-as-step feature. We are big proponents of avoiding code whenever/wherever possible. I am not comfortable agreeing with saying "because someone is used to the Coded UI approach we want to stay with it". It is our opinion that the Coded UI approach is not the best (or even a good) approach. Instead we're offering a product in which you record completely codeless scripts and use that as the staple for all of your functional testing. Test Studio supports coded steps for those few/advanced cases that the standard test steps don't meet your needs.
However, there are some GUI objects in our software the Telerik tool does not recognize them.
Could you please show us the problems you are currently experiencing with Test Studio. We might be able to help you resolve them.
