I've got a report where I display a company name and logo at the top of a report.

The requirement is to be able to hide the company name and logo for printing on pre-printed company stationary which already comes with the above.

Another requirement is to be able to hide columns on the fly. Example: The first column of my report contains staff photos. The user would like to be able to hide the column by clicking on a checkbox in the parameter panel to hide the photo column.

Is it possible to do the above in the HTML Telerik report viewer? And if it is possible, how can I do it?

Thanks.

Hi Sean,

You can show/hide elements of the report by using conditional formatting; or if it is a Table/List/Crosstab item - by filtering the data of the column through the Group Explorer.

The attached video can be preview in IE browser. The video illustrates how to filter the data of columns in a Table item in order to hide them.

Please note that the print preview illustrates the report paged, based on its PageSettings properties. If you show/hide elements based on report parameters, the user must run preview before the report accept the changes. Switching from interactive to print preview cannot be used for updating the reports layout (hiding elements). Instead you can test using the report's PageSettings properties which are applied only in Print preview e.g. add a background image with the name and the logo.
