You came with a very fine “word” example in the Demo with a lot of functionality. Great!
But of course, starting with this you can expect more questions and more wishes. We are never satisfied! 8-)
Questions like this:
- What about merging?
- What about Header and Footer?

Thank you for your question. Actually you are not the first one to ask us about those two features. We intended to implement them for Q1 2011, but unfortunately other features took their place and we rescheduled them for Q2 2011, which is expected around mid July, or even better we will strive to provide those features for Q2 2011 Beta, which is month or two before the official release.
We are sorry if there were some inconvenience we cause, if you have any other question, do not hesitate to contact us again.

What about silverlight? Any news about the time of (beta) release?

Thank you for the enthusiastic feedback.
We try to keep our WPF and Silverlight versions in sync, so the headers and footers support will be implemented at the same time for both versions of RadRichTextBox.
The Q2 Beta is scheduled for mid-June. Hopefully, we will manage to squeeze this functionality in the Beta, so that we can collect some criticism before the official release.

Headers and footers were introduced in the Q2 Beta (2011.2 623), along with import from DOCX and export to DOCX and PDF. The official release is in a week or so and will also include import and export from/to RTF.
Mail merge will be included in the official release, too. However, most likely, RTF will not be a supported target for mail-merge fields initially. Support will be introduced later, probably in the first service pack. We will be counting on your feedback when that happens.
