Hi Jamie,
Unfortunately, this scenario is not supported by the GridView out of the box.
You can try creating a custom DragDropBehavior that can migrate items from one group to another grid. You will have to subscribe to the drag drop events with handled events too set to true in order to get the events fired.

I have this requirement too, could you please give a simple project sample where this is achived? I have drag/drop working with "regular" grid rows, but now I need to be able to drag the group header row to another grid.
