Hi There:
I've just downloaded the latest Telerik Controls for winforms, the december release I think. I'm trying to create a visual style to the radgrid and it causes the following error:
Type Telerik.Wincontrols.UI.GridGroupExpanderCellEllement+SignStyles is from external Assembly Telerik.Wincontrols.GridView
Could you help me with this issue?

Thank you for contacting us.
We are aware of the message that pops up. However, it is displayed only for debugging purposes and you should have no concerns about it. It will not break your RadGridView theme in any way. We will hide it in our next version scheduled for the end of the current month.

I'm not sure this is as harmless as you say. I'm getting the same thing here (about 4 or 5 of same error all at once) whenever I try to save a new theme when customizing a RadGridView. The reason I think it's a bigger problem is because none of my RadGridView styling changes seem to take. I've gone up and down the element hierarchy in VisualStyleBuilder but nothing I change seems to show up.
I can customize and create themes for RadTabStrip, RadMenu and other components fine - it's just the RadGridView (ironically, the one I need to create a theme for).
Is there anything I can do to resolve this error and get to the point where my custom theme for RadGridView actually works?

BTW - I'm using 8.1.0.0 RadControls for Win Forms.
Update - I can confirm that 2009Q1 WInForms *FIXES* this issue. Of course now I have to update my projects to use the new version - but at least GridView is editable now!

Hello chris,
In our older versions we had an issue with displaying the changes that you make in the preview panel of Visual Style Builder. However, as you have noticed, this issue is addressed in Q1 2009 and in our latest Q1 2009 SP1.
