Bit of a strange issue. In Graphite, if you run an app with an <input type="text" /> element in it, open the dev tools (F12), then detach the dev tools (button in lover left of dev tools window).

If you now click into your app's input box and try to type text, it actually appears in the dev tools console window (if it is open).  Typing in the dev tools console window does nothing. No text ever appears in the app's text input box.

Re-attaching the dev tools window makes keyboard input work correctly again.

I usually try to work with devtools detached so that I can put it to the right of the phone simulator, otherwise everything doesn't fit on the screen at once. It would be an awesome feature if you could dock the devtools to a side instead of only the bottom.

I just now noticed that in the devtools settings window, there is a checkbox to "dock to right", so that takes care of my 2nd suggestion :)

The keyboard input not working when detached is still a bug though.

Nevermind, the "dock to right" checkbox does not work either. It stays docked to the bottom :(

Hi,

I'm afraid you've stumbled upon a known issue. When debugger is undocked, keyboard input is not correctly recognized. I'm happy to tell you that we have identified the problem. It should be fixed in our next release that is due in the weeks to follow.
As far as the simulator docking option is concerned, we've added it to the backlog and will implement it in some of our next releases.

Thanks for giving us your feedback. We appreciate it.
