Hello,

I'm working on a site for a photographer who will need to upload images to the web server. When the photographer uploads his initial files it could include many files so, I was wondering if I could use an FTP "type" of control of some sort which will allow the user to select an entire folder and upload the images without having to browse and select each individual file.

I understand that FTP is a different protocol and not HTTP but I thought perhaps someone might have an idea of how to solve this scenario.

Please let me know and many thanks in advance,

Dave

Hi David,

We do not offer such type of control as part of RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX. As an alternative I can suggest you use our RadUpload control with its multiple-file upload functionality:

http://www.telerik.com/DEMOS/ASPNET/Prometheus/Upload/Examples/UsingTargetFolder/DefaultCS.aspx

Still you will need to select each uploaded file individually in order to upload several images in one go.

Hello,

Thanks for the reply. I figured this might be the case but thought I'd ask anyway. It was a long shot but sometimes someone has an idea that gives the user the look and feel that they're after but with controls that fit in our HTTP / ASP.Net control set.

I'll keep brain storming.

Thanks again!
