I've just gone onto the AppBuilder from earlier Icenium, and when my account was upgraded I get the sample Friends app automatically added.
This looks like a nice example including some nice design patterns in the code.
But if I open any of the views, such as the activitesView, and try to switch to the designer, it throws an error indicating invalid html.
activitiesView says "Error on line 18 at column 1: Extra content at end of document"
activityView says "Unknown HTML5 element found: !"
addActvityView says :"Invalid children of the <html> tag detected!
Should I be able to see these in the designer? Would be a shame to do it only in code.
The same results are found if I use the Windows AppBuilder app or the Telerik Platform web-based version.

Thank you for your feedback we will relay this to teams responsible for Friends demo app and Kendo UI Designer.
Please consider that the designer is still experimental feature and do not fully developed yet. In this case Kendo UI remote views and new HTML5 semantics are not yet implemented fully. We will work to constantly improve that in feature releases.
