Freeform drawing

Is there some way to support free form drawing on a diagram?  For example if I wanted to create a polygon just by clicking points on the diagram and then clicking on the last point to close the shape.  This shape would then live on the diagram the same as the premade shapes.

Hello Clint,

 There is public feature request for Free Drawing, so you can vote for it and track it's progress. As far as I can see a lot of people are asking for this, so we'll do our best to implement it as soon as possible.
You can also find the attached Polygon drawing example. It is a good starting point. Please let us know if you have further questions.
