Free for Wss 3.0 users?

We are using wss 3.0 and we wonder if we can freely use the rad editor? We don't plan to buy MOSS.

Yes, r.a.d.editor can be used in WSS v3 as well. Both Lists and Web Parts scenarios are supported.

Is the above statement still true for the current version of the RAD Editor Lite - 4.4, which looks to be renamed to be ASP.NET RadEditor for MOSS Lite Edition?  Reason I ask, is the EULA that comes in the zip files notes otherwise.

Yes, ASP.NET RadEditor for MOSS Lite Edition can be used in WSS v3.0 as well. We will review the license agreement and make sure it is clear there. Is this the sentence that made you think otherwise?

The SOFTWARE can be used only by licensed customers of the product “Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007."

The SOFTWARE can be used only by licensed customers of the products "Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007" and/or "Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 3.0".

Sorry to bring up license for WSS 3 again.

May I know where can I find the license agreement that stated "The SOFTWARE can be used only by licensed customers of the products "Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007" and/or "Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 3.0"."??

I had downloaded zip file from "http://www.telerik.com/account/your-products/product-versions/single-download.aspx?pmvid=0&pid=543" and found the End User License Agreement (RadEditor_MOSS_EULA.rtf ) it mentioned only "The SOFTWARE can be used only by licensed customers of the product "Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007" and "Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 3.0"."

Does it mean that if I do not have licence for MOSS 2007 and only have WSS 3, then I am not allowed to use RadEditor freely?

Hello dbacar,

Our license agreement does allow the use of our RadEditor for MOSS even if you only have a license for
Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 and you do not have a license for Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. Thus you can freely use our RadEditor with no worries.
