Is there a way to force a new copy of a test to be loaded to the storage server?

 

I have a test that no matter what changes I make to it, when scheduling a test list that includes it, an older version of the test is always executed.  I have tried changing the test list as well.  I have tried removing all scheduled runs that include the particular test.  No joy.

 

Your help will be much appreciated.  Thanks.

Hi Briar,

What version of Test Studio you use?

Please install our latest internal build (1217) where this issue is fixed. You can download it from here.

We used a new storage architecture in it (MongoDB) which acts much better.

That is the version I am using, both on the scheduling server and my computer.

 

I found a workaround - open the test script, copy all lines to the clipboard, and paste into a new test script under a different project.  Rather laborious, but dependable.  Haven't had a chance to try this but I'm thinking my next step will be to copy the new test script with a different name back into the original project. 

 

This process takes a bit of time through and I have found other test scripts with the same issues.  I am hoping there is a simpler way to resolve a problem like this?

Is there a way to delete all copies of all test scripts and test lists on the scheduling server?  Basically, forcing TestStudio to copy the latest version when scheduling a test list?

Hello Briar,

This is not expected behavior and Test Studio should copy all the changes you have made in the test.

We are trying to reproduce this.

In order to clear the database by downloading Robomongo. Connect to the database, do a right click and choose Drop Database (refer to the screenshot attached).

Note that with that action you will lose all your test list results.
