Hi,
Is is possible to use Font Awesome (or other icon fonts) in NativeScript? I've used them to great effect in web apps and I can see them being really useful in NativeScript as it would save having to create the different resolution versions of each image file you'd otherwise have to prepare.

Hi Ian,
We don't have out-of-the-box support right now however you can try the solution posted in this thread for Android and in this thread for iOS.

Thanks for the links. Regretfully, I know nothing about native iOS or Android development so the suggested options are probably way beyond my skill set to implement!
Are you definitely planning NativeScript support for Font Awesome in a future release?

Ian,
Font Awesome support looks a really good external module functionality. Based on the links Vlad sent, it seems feasible, but we still need to prove that.
While we cannot commit on a timeline, we will definitely do the research and we will try to have it.
