    Hi,

    Just a few initial thoughts when comapring it with free Reflector and ILSpy:

    1. Looks better then competitors (great factor - I don't like loosy UI like in most open source projects)
    2. It's too slow to start application
    3. It's to slow to expand namespace (real WTF - takes some time to load assembly and same for namespace)
    4. No resources displayed !!!???
    5. No XAML/BAML viewing !!!???
    6. I have to use msi to install it !? Reflector and ILSpy allows you to just place on some shared location or HDD or USB - just works!

    Speed is relative to competitors. Don't think it is and issue of HW (2core duo 2.5GHz; 4 GB RAM - seems to be about average cfg)

    I doubt it would become "one of most favorite tools in .net developers box" especially as ILSpy is becoming faster and more accurate. With "recent" failure of RedGate comercialization of Reflector, there is a lot of reserve in community/environment for any claims "will stay free" - none will want to get addicted to tool that can transform potentially in future into paid version.

    I'll check this tool after official release how it improves.

    Best Luck!

    My first impression is that the application is slow, particularly the UI and toolbars.
    I have uninstalled it and currently use dotPeek.
    Will revisit JustDecompile when the performance issues are resolved.

    Environment:
    OS-Windows 7 (Prof 64bit)
    RAM-8GB
    Processor-Intel Xeon 2.67
    System Rating (WEI)-4.9

    Hi,

    I've installed BETA 2011.2.1017.

    This time is much better experience.
    Still there is installer instead of more portable version.

    Decompilation is far from ideal:
    for example

    CheckForCircularBasedOnReferences in System.Windows.Style typewhere there is this strange for statement:

    private void CheckForCircularBasedOnReferences()
    {
        Stack stacks = new Stack(10);
        for (Style i = this; i; i = i.BasedOn)
        {
            if (stacks.Contains(i))
            {
                throw new InvalidOperationException(SR.Get("StyleBasedOnHasLoop"));
            }
            stacks.Push(i);
        }
    }

    I can see lot of progress, but still on the road to production version

    Thanks!
