Hi,
I'm just starting to get into ORM and finding it quite fun and very useful. I started to think what if I want to use the orm concept in other apps that do not really need the overhead of a database. Then I thought wouldn't be nice for open access to come with a file engine that would allow me to write the data to a file instead of a db.

Forgive me if this can already be done it's just a thought.

Thanks

Hi Paul,
Internally OpenAccess uses a Gateway pattern between the runtime (responsible for interfacing with the database, or in your case a file) and the API layer, so what you are saying is perfectly doable, but ofcourse it will take time and resources to do so. Currently we do not have plans for the feature you proposed and it was never asked before.

All the best,
