Although I have disabled update checks by setting the following registry keys I found earlier, Fiddler seems still to check during startup and throws an exception:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Fiddler2]
"CheckForUpdates"="False"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Fiddler2]
"BlockUpdateCheck"="True"

Hi,

Thanks for letting us know about this problem. I really appreciate this.

We just released a Fiddler beta with the fix. You could get it by clicking on Download beta here -https://www.telerik.com/download/fiddler. If updating is not an option you could use the noversioncheck command line switch when starting Fiddler to avoid this problem.

Sorry about the trouble.

The current beta release fixes the issue. When will the next version (containing this fix) be released?

Hello,

Rather unfortunately, we cannot commit to a specific date. We are trying, however, to release a new version every couple of weeks so teh wait should not be that long.
