After completing the survey I received today regarding the future of Silverlight UI at Telerik, there was no place for me to enter any additional information of what I would like to see come out of Telerik.

I'm aware 2021 is the "end date" for Silverlight and I'm in the process of wrapping up  a very large scale Silverlight application.  Once my application is completed, we'll done some feature updates and then move onto converting to HTML5 (which is NOT a task I really even want to get involved as HTML5 is far inferior to Silverlight in terms of performance and capabilities and client computer access).

Moving to HTML5 is going to be a lot of wasted time and effort, but we have no choice and we can only hope HTML5 "end date" does come up in the middle of that migration project ... forever catching up with web technology that gets less and less capable and more and more restrictive.  But that's the game I guess ... so my feedback.

My company would be more than willing to pay a substantial price (think 10-20X higher than your current product pricing) for a product that could automatically convert my Silverlight 5 application to HTML5 and our supporting web services (which should really need to be changed).  Of course the product has to be good and has to work, no missing chunks of key code that myself or another developer would have to fill in the blanks ... meaning dealing with SL OOB mode in HTML5 and any access to local resource (R/W to hard drive) with appropriate security context.

So adding my 2 cents here.

 Cheers, Rob.
