Hi,

I would like to see Feature Requests / New Product Suggestions subforums added to the ASP.NET AJAX, Silverlight and Reporting sections, as they are currently missing (while available at other subforums). With the former ASP.NET suite that was a great way to discuss good feature requests with the community. And I have some feature requests I would like to share that way ;-)

Kind regards,
Martin de Ruiter

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this but I have a suggestion/request for a new product suite from telerik.

This is quite far off the beaten track of the typical telerik suites but I suggest it because it's an area that many software
developers buy components , that being an Imaging suite of controls/components. Ie: Everything from barcoding (Which reporting has already but recognition included) , OCR , Image Processing , TWAIN functionality , Document viewers etc.

One of the biggest factors in Teleriks deliveries for me isn't even your components but your support structure , our company has bought imaging components from another provider who I will not name and the support structure especially once you used to Telerik is atrocious.

I really would welcome the opportunity to have more and more (if not all) our component needs addressed by the one provider that we have only had a good experience with. I assume imaging suites are good money and they are certainly worth it to the companies developing imaging solutions (document store systems are being developed everywhere these days). It would be really great to be able to also have nicely Telerik stylable document viewers etc to boot in the suite providing us yet another easier way to seamlessly integrate Telerik into our software deliveries.

Any chance of that ?

Hi Kenneth,

Thank you for the feedback and suggestion.

We do not have much expertise in this area but if more people show interest in imaging controls/components we will be happy to go into this.

An imaging suite would be great.  Currently I use an eclectic verity of different open source/purchased products to do image manipulation (ITextSharp, 2Tiff, Ghost Scrip, Paper Clip) and image viewers (AlternaTiff). Just an image viewer would be great, but all of these abilities wrapped into 1 would be even better.

Hello,

In case you have not seen this before, we have (basic) image editing capabilities within RadEditor. There is an Image Editor dialog which can also be used outside of RadEditor. Please check this blog post and this KB article for details.
