Exposing PivotDataSource data for charts (DataViz)

Is it possible to get to the data currently contained in a PivotDataSource instance to generate a DataSource for DataViz charts? Can you point me in the general direction?

Are there better options for dynamically generating charts from PivotDataSource data?

Currently, the required functionality is not possible. We will create a demo showing integration between PivotGrid and Chart in one of our next Kendo UI releases.

We are also interested in this sort of feature (in order to implement the typical OLAP browser capability of grids AND charts)...  So wanted to clarify that in the July 16, 2014 release, there isn't a hook that we could drive a linked chart from?
I ask as the original post from July 1st - and so probably from a beta?

If no possibility in current version, is it likely within 2014 releases?

Is there a method to bind a chart itself directly to remote xmla datasource?

Yes, currently there isn't a hook and in order to bind the chart the developer is responsible for transforming the OLAP data in understandable for the widget format.

Currently, there isn't specific plans for creating a specific OLAP aware chart, although it is possible to transform the OLAP data and visualize it in the chart (like I mentioned in the first comment).

The OLAP data format is completely different than what the chart can visualize. A transformation is needed in order to display the data correctly.

We prepared a proof-of-concept Dojo demo, which demonstrates one possible way of OLAP data transformation. Please note that the demo is just a sample and it isn't intended for direct usage in production environment. Any specific implementation is up to the developer responsible for the OLAP integration.
