Is there a way to save the export as an Excel 2007 xlsx file?

use this
NPOI
its a awesome little package that also allows you to use it in a 64bit enviroment as well, and best of all, it's free ;)

Way cool, Matthew! I had used POI when I was programming with Java years ago; great to see it ported to .NET! I also ran across ExcelPackage. Telerik's implementation of Excel export is just too crude at this time.
