I am using the RadTreeList Export to Excel feature and Telerik 2012 SP2 and it works OK to a point. I was wondering however if it is possible to add additional information to the export as I need to add headings etc to define what the data being exported to Excel actually is which is not present in the RadTreeList itself.

Hi ,
I am afraid adding of additional information when exporting to Excel is not support. Nevertheless a possible solution is to use a ExportInfrastructure to manually generate the exported structure and add the additional information at the top of the exported data. I would recommend you to examine the following help article which demonstrates to how use the ExportInfrastructure. Also you could check out the following help article which describes how to use the new DPL framework to export the data to xlsx file.
