Since the thread above is a year old I wanted to see if there has been any change or any plan to build functionality to export a chart image and it's data to an excel export?

Hello Douglas,

Presently, the required functionality is not available. One possible option to work-around this limitation is to nest the chart in another control, such as grid (where it contains information of the raw data used to build the chart), and export the whole grid.

Hi,
It's possible to add a timestamp to a chart so it could be either printed or exported with the rest of the chart image? or I should manipulate the stream before exporting or printing?

Hi,

You can use the same approach as my colleague Evgenia described, that is to put the chart into a GridView and then place a TextBlock with the timestamp on the chart.

By using the GridView export functionality the GridView will export the chart with the timestamp on top of it.

I hope this helps.
