Hi,

We have several codedsteps in a .tstest files. Currently we execute the complete .tstest files

But scenraios are likely to change and we may have to execute coded steps individually. Making single .tstest file for each coded steps will be hectic.

Is there any way we can execute required coded step from Artoftest.runner commandline.?

Please let us know

Thanks,

VVP

Hello VVP,

Thank you for choosing Telerik Test Studio.

Your question is rather curious and  interesting. Unfortunately there is no way to execute the coded steps separately except isolating them in an individual test as you mentioned yourself. Dividing the coded steps that way will ensure execution both from Test Studio and the command line.

Thank you for your understanding.

Hi Elena,

Thanks for your reply.

1) Can you look that as a feature request in future?

2) Can we pass multiple test files to execute continuously in Artoftest.runner commandline? If not is there any plan to omplement same in near future?

Please let us know.

Hello VVP,

In relation to your second question there is an option already available - you could use test lists. All tests included in a test list are executed continuously one by one. And a test list can be successfully executed in Artoftest.runner commandline.

If the above information does not suit your requirements and you still need to log a feature request you could do this in our Feedback portal. In the same portal you could log your other query as a feature request describing the exact needs you might have.

Please do let me know in case of any further questions that might appear.

Thank you for your understanding and the valuable feedback.

Thanks for the reply. I raised a feature request.

Actually we were using testlists, but needed a dynamic way of selecting and executing tests. We considered dynamic lists but we felt it is not straight forward process.

Hope to see that feature getting implemented soon.

Thanks,

VVP
