Hi guys!  Just want to say that I'm really excited to see you tackle API Testing.  I wish you luck and really hope your product turns out to be something like Test Studio and something above and beyond just a trivial wrapper around sending http requests.

I'll keep an eye on this project!  Again, I'm excited and wish you all well!

Hi Scott,

Thank you for the nice words! We are also excited and we are working hard to make Test Studio for APIs functional and easy to use. Any feedback is welcome, so if you have comments on the way the application works, or you have a feature in mind that we are missing, don't hesitate to write us here, in the forums, or in the feedback portal.

I am especially interested in your opinion about what would make the product more than a HTTP Request wrapper (e.g. Postman may be?). Could you elaborate a bit more? :)

Hello, yes my comments to hoping this is more than just a wrapper.  Seems there are many plugins available, and any developer can throw together a quick api client to make a specific request.  Your mention of Postman, yes, that is sort of what I am meaning.  Although it is a polished tool - it really only enables manual testers a way to consume API's.  Its not a high functioning tool to assist in the automation of massive amounts of test scripts.

I am hoping your vision with this product is to take it to a whole new level and let test automation teams build large suites of tests to plug into the CI process.  Hoping this grows up to be a large tool like Test Studio which has a lot to offer and does not lose momentum and be just a tiny little tool.

I see :) I also hope that our little app will become amazing in the near future.

By the way, the CI integration is something we in my team love and actually is possible from version zero of the tool. It is not super polished yet, but should be generally usable. You could even set global variables through command line parameters and this way support running the same tests against different environments. We export results in JUnit format out of the box, that is understandable by almost every build server.
