Hi,

I don't know what you can do to improve this but it seems that when one is significantly panning the tiles that are being refreshed start out with a gray color and then transitions to the actual color.  Perhaps a more subdued color would make the redrawing seem less obvious.

Or if you have cached tiles from a previous zoom level, they could be used as place holders until the real tiles come in.

Cheers,
Clint

Hello Clint,

Gray is the default background color of the tile layer set in the color theme. Currently it can't be changed but we will consider an ability to change this color in a future release of the control.

As for displaying cached placeholder image -- this is an interesting idea and we are actually researching our options regarding caching but at the moment we do not have a working spike yet.
