Hi,
We can not give you an exact date, but most probably it will happen in the end of February or beginning of March and the update will have the latest official release and all new controls and skins.

Do you have a more specific date now? Am I right in thinking that I can't move to 2013 Q1 until the Visual Style Builder is updated (I'm using a custom skin based on 2012 Q3)? if so, are there any best practices to follow when updating a custom skin for a new version of controls?

Hi,
In a week or two, the style builder will be updated. We are still working on it. Fixing some issues and adding the new controls which most probably will be available after the update together with all new skins.
