Hi
I am facing this message once I run my project(see the attached Pic error1), rather than it takes around 5min and more just to initializing for opening at the first time

Further more it is very slow in developing and some times the system give me an error in manifest memory when I try to add any thing new or modify an existing control  ,

Error   1          Problem generating manifest. Insufficient memory to continue the execution of the program.

Moreover sometimes when I add new things it did not appear in the running stage even thought it is their in the design?

Sometimes also I need to close the project and open it a gain just to see the modification I added otherwise it will not be shown at the same time

Am using telerik winforms wpf Q3 2010 in Visual Studio 2008

Thanks in advance

Hello Anoop,

WinForms WFP? are you sure? :P.

Sorry to tell you but the 2008 version is too old for any support...
But honestly, i for one don't really like trust the designer, i would at least suggest that you create a separate control for each docked window / toolbar... like that you would just have to add that control, docked to that specific window.

Hope this helps, if you have any other questions or comments, please let me know,

I meant Winforms and WPF ,

Actually am using several controls from those in the same application, so it becomes heavy. Do you think Visual Studio 2008 is the problem?

Could it work properly if I replace it with 2010?

Hello again,

I believe this is more a visual studio issue, you could try increasing the visual studio memory limit by following this article.

If you are wondering if it's safe or not, I have it on all of my working computers and did not cause any problems up to this point.

Later edit: this fix was originally intended for resharper or any other code analysis software that is constantly increasing the memory usage of visual studio, but i believe it could help solve your problem

Hope this helps, if you have any other questions or comments, please let me know,

Hi Anoop,

Could you please confirm whether the suggestion provided by Emanuel works for you? I was not able to reproduce the described issue using our latest release - Q2 2011 SP1. That is why I recommend that you update your version with the latest one. The latest release contains a lot of new features and we will appreciate your feedback. If the issue continues to appear, please send us your application so we can investigate it further.

Our investigations have shown that the usage of both WinForms and WPF technologies in the same application can lead to performance and memory issues. In addition, we cannot guarantee that our controls will work as expected when hosted in a WPF application. I think the same is valid for WPF controls used in WinForms host. Because of all this, we do not recommend mixing these technologies.

Should you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to write back.

I changed to Visual Studio 2010; it’s faster than before, but the problem of the memory is not resolved .it might be because of the Visual studio.(its okay i can run the application even with this error)

But sometimes the chart is expanding in size and the axis data not appearing, to resolve that I used to delete them and drag it again.

But also they expand after any new modifications in the application even if the modifications is not related to them?!

Thanks and regards

Hi Anoop,

We are unaware of such behavior with our RadChart control. Could you please send us a sample runnable project where we can reproduce this and get back to you with our feedback based on the code?

See the attached picture it’s a part of the dashboard but it get expanded?

It just window tool which have a chart inside it, this chart is binding to a sql database.

Also I am using a chart in other tap window the same is happening

I think is something related to the design not the normal code.

Hello Anoop,

Why don't you wrap your Charts inside a table where the two columns of it are with fixed size? Similar approach is shown in our demo with source code. Please note that you should specify the desired Width of the Charts too.

For this error  Error 1 Problem generating manifest. Insufficient memory to continue the execution of the program

I have done what you suggest but it was not work and I format the PC because it did not open normally, it was taking to long and once I login nothing was appearing.

Does any one have a solution for this ? (Error 1 Problem generating manifest. Insufficient memory to continue the execution of the program)

thanks a lot..

Hi Anoop,

We have never experienced a similar issue before. Maybe it is related with something in your project. Could you please try to create a small application with our controls and confirm that it is OK. If so, send us your project. We will investigate it in detail and we will try to find a proper solution.

Please note that you have to open a new support ticket in order to be able to attach your files.

Thank you for your cooperation. I am looking forward to your project.
