Getting an error when trying to add a new item in a Custom List.  What seems to be triggering the error is the fact that there is a Rich Text field as a column.  If I make the field a Plain Text or Enhanced Rich Text, the error goes away.  If I Deactive the Telerik Editor.  Issue goes away.  Using the latest editor.

Hi Shane,

In order to use enhanced toolbar the editor's list field has to be configured as enhanced rich text field. As you have already noticed, if the field is configured as an ordinary text field the enhanced toolbar won't be shown.

For your convenience I prepared and attached a screenshot that shows how exactly the list field has to be configured.

George,

Thank you for the reply.  I think I failed in trying to explain my issue.

What works.

1.  Using the Telerik editor when the field is set to Enhanced Rich Text.

What DOES NOT work.

1.  Using just a plain Rich Text editor WITHOUT the expectation that the telerik editor will show up.  I completely understand and expect that the default rich text editor should show in this scenario.  This configuration causes SharePoint to display an error page which should never happen by installing a 3rd party tool.  If I deactivate the Telerik Editor for that site, the error page goes away and everything works normally.

Hope this helps

Unfortunately, the provided information is not enough for us to determine what the reason for the problem is. Could you please, open a support ticket and send us a screenshot of the error?
