Hi all,

I'm evaluating RadEditor for MOSS.

When I try to use it (either as a web part or as a replacement for OOTB editor), I get "Trying to use an SPWeb object that has been closed or disposed and is no longer valid." error.

Has anybody any idea what's going on?

Luc

Hi,

Did you find any solution/answer to this?

We have the same problem when using the latest version of the full featured RadEditor for MOSS (5.2.1). It didn't happen with the previous versions we have been using(demo and full featured 5.2.0).
Basically we can't access anymore any page that has the RadEditor included.

Until now no clue and no answer for the bug report we filed regarding this.

Regards,

Cristina

No, I haven't found a solution yet.

When did you file a bug report? What's the status of the report?

Hi guys,

Please download the v5.21 editor again and reinstall it. I was informed that the wrong build was uploaded on Friday and was live on the site for at least an hour. The problem was fixed and the correct build should now be available in the Client.Net downloads section. If you have downloaded the editor for MOSS after Friday and still experience this error, please open a formal support ticket so we can investigate your case further. Please accept our apologies for the mix-up.

All the best,

Hi,

Thanks for the answer. I've just installed the correct package and it seems to work correctly now.

Any fix for this, fresh install of SharePoint with SP1 and Infrasture Update. Downloaded the lastest version of the RadEditor for SharePoint but getting reported error;
"Trying to use an SPWeb object that has been closed or disposed and is no longer valid".

Thanks

Hello,

I just tried to download the file myself (Dev version) and found that I still get the broken build. I will contact the web guys immediately to sort this out. Sorry for the misleading answer I gave you a couple of hours ago.

Edit: We have uploaded a new build of the RadEditor for MOSS, labeled 5.22. I have tested it and verified that the disposed object exception no longer occurs. On behalf of the web team, I would like to apologize to you.
