Error trying to add rad controll

Hi, I have big problems installing/useing RadControls. In visual studio 2005, the controls doesn't even appare, so I installed vs express; Now the controls are showing in my toolbox, but  whenever I try to drag a control over to a form, I get this message: rad error (external image)

We apologize for these troubles. It is a very strange situation. We never experienced and do not have reports for such behavior. Our controls have automatic installers only for Visual Studio 2005 and do not have one for Visual Studio Express. You should not be able to see RadControls in Visual Studio Express toolbox unless you add them manually. We will need some additional information in order to investigate this problem:

1. What is your operating system version
2. What versions of Visual Studio you have installed on your machine
3. Do you have any add-ons for Visual Studio installed
4. Do you have installed some third party component suites
5. Do you have any previous versions of RadControls for WinForms installed
6. What version of RadControls for WinForms/RadRibbonBar are you trying to install
7. Does this problem persist after removing and installing again RadControls for WinForms
8. Does this problem persist after machine reboot
9. Does this message appear independently of the control you are trying to use

Hello Kristian,

We managed to reproduce your problem in the following situation: we added the RadControls manually in Visual Studio Express toolbox. Then we uninstalled RadControls. In this situation when you try to drop some RadControl from the toolbox the same exception occurs.

To solve your issue we suggest you to follow these steps:

1. Uninstall the RadControls suite
2. Ensure that "C:\Program Files\telerik" is removed
3. Ensure that there are no dll-s in GAC beginning with Telerik. namespace.
4. Remove manually all RadControls from Visual Studio and Visual Studio Express
5. Reinstall RadControls for WinForms
