I would like to report a fault on "Calendar". Reviewing the features of "Calendar"in your link:
http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/calendar/examples/overview/defaultcs.aspx

and particularly "DataPicker"in: http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/calendar/examples/datepicker/custompopup/defaultcs.aspx
I get the following error message:

Message:
'iframeShim.style' is null or not an object

Líne: 346
Character: 2
Code: 0
URI:
http://aspnet-scripts.telerikstatic.com/ajaxz/2010.3.1317/Calendar/RadCalendarCommonScript.js

I have to say the message is only for IE browser, I have tested with IE6, IE7 and IE8 gives me error but not with IE9.
Instead, I tested with Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome and it works without problem.

Sincerely
,
Jorge Saa-Gerbier

I'm having the same issue you described. Did you change your IE 8 settings to fix the problem after you reinstalled it? I will try IE 9 tomorrow morning to see if that works. It works fine in Firefox. If you have figured out any additional tips or tricks since you last had this problem, please let me know. Thanks,
Chad

Hi Chad,

Could you please post your IE browser's version. Also it will be helpful if you could post your aspx markup code with the code behind file.

Looking forward for your reply.

Hello,

I have just encountered the same issue in one of my web applications using a RadDatePicker using IE 8.0.7600.16385CO under Windows 7 Enterprise 32-bit. The issue does not occur on the same web page using IE 7.0.5730.13 under Windows XP Professional SP3. I am using Telerik ASP.NET AJAX version 2010.2.713.35.

When selecting a date from the calendar popup, the following scripting errors occur:

User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 6.1; Trident/4.0; DivBusiness; MVH; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; InfoPath.2; Tablet PC 2.0; .NET4.0C; AskTbSTC/5.11.3.15590)

Hello,
I have the same error message, 'iframeShim.style' is null, when I clicked on the RadDatePicker's calendar, which is contained inside a RadPanelBar's item. Since this is part of our company's Intranet, which is large and complex, I can't provide you the screen that can be replicated on your end. Hopefully, you can look at the attached code image, and let me know what I can do to fix this issue or have a hotfix for it. I am using RadControls v2010.3.1215.40, on Win7 64-bit machine and VS2010.

Thanks for your time.

Tri

Hello,

I have tried to recreate the error you have described but unfortunately to no avail. Therefore it will be appreciated if you can provide a small runnable sample in which the described behavior can be observed. You could open a formal support tickets from your Telerik account and attach a ZIP file there. This will allow us to debug it locally and gather more details about the actual cause for the error.

We found that, in our case, this was caused by a DivX plug-in for Internet Explorer. Running the page without the plug-in and in compatibility mode fixed the issue temporarily.

Hope this helps.

Same here. DivX installed last night caused this error. Disabling it 'fix' the issue.

To the Telerik team. Is this something you folks will look into?  I mean, the error is generated at the Telerik end, even though the 'cause' is installation of the DivX plug in.  We can possible tell our clients NOT to install DivX (if they so choose) just so as to avoid Telerik's error.  So I think something that needs to be fixed - or have you folks already fixed this in the latest release?

Hi JustinWong,

Thanks for the suggestions. I forwarded the described issue to our developers and they will start working on the resolution of this issue. Also we will update our documentation with note that installing DivX may crash some of the RadCalendar features.

All the best,
