Hi Adam,
The prev/next buttons on the media player are for the Previous/Next Chapter, not an item from the playlist.
you will need to define different buttons if you want to navigate thru the items in the playlist.
You the Items collection and CurrentItem of the RadMediaPlayer to achieve this functionality. Let us know if you need more help.
