Does something like this exist?

I want to transpose my normalized data into a pivot view, but also have that pivotview be editable and then have those edits update the backend normalized table that it came from.  Is this a feautre, or do I have to write my own enumaration class, stored procedures, etc. to do this for me?

Thanks,
~patrick

Hi Patrick Ryan,

Thank you for the question.

Currently the RadGridView does not support pivot grid. This is a major feature and it is definitely in our plans. I can't give you a final date, but if more people request the same feature we will implement it sooner.

Don't hesitate to write us if you have additional questions.

Kind regards,
Jack

Hi,

Has there been any movement on a Telerik Pivot Grid?  Does not have to be editable for me.

Regards,

Dan

I would think a lot of people would use an editable pivot grid, as timelines are typically transposed as column fields, yet they are stored in a normalized (one field) fashion.  Perfect for forecasting :)

I might build more own one day and sell it :)

Hi Patrick Ryan,

Definitely this feature of RadGridView has been requested several times by our customers. It is already in our plans, although I cannot give you an exact date when it will be released.

Do not forget to tell us about your pivot when you do it? It will be great feedback on your side.

Best wishes,
Svett

Absolutely looking forward to a Telerik pivotgrid for winforms.  The devexpress pivotgrid has awesome performance but their support sucks.  Like to see Telerik do it right.

Hi na,

Thank you for your feedback.

This is a major feature and it is definitely in our plans. However, currently I cannot provide you with a specific time frame. If more people request the same feature, we will increase its priority in our To-Do list.

Sincerely yours,
Svett

I also need a pivotGridTable for AJAX_ASP.NET and it's a definite necessity in my opinion. I'm voting for this future feature. (sorry for writing this post in the WinForms forum :) )

I tried XtraPivotGrid by DevExpress and is an important control that we would like
were at Telerik.
It would be an important feature.
