Would be nice if a user could edit ( add new items) in inline mode.
For a lot of items it would be nice if you could search there, too.
Another thing woul be multiselect.

I would need it for the following scenario:
A user can choose only one category, but should be able to search and add new ones. Perhaps you just need a textbox an a button on inline mode.

If you can choose for example tags, it is possible to chose more than one.

Would be nice if this would come.

Hi Fabian,

Thanks for the feedback. We planned all these features for our listbox control. I'm interested to know why you need them in the list picker. What is your scenario?

In my scenario the user has two textboxes on a form.
With the listpicker he would be automatically send to a new page.
That would be easier for me to implement (not much but less) and would not have to maintain a new page in my project.
Lispicker seems to me the more lighweight approach to fill out tags (multiple) or categories (single) for the user.

Hi Fabian,

I see now. So your request is to have the multiple selection only when the ListPicker popup is opened?

If so - I would say that the better approach is to have a RadPickerBox and to have the RadDataBoundListBox as a content of the PickerBox.

We really want to keep the RadListPicker as simple as it is now. If we have to add all these options to the list picker they will work only for the popup mode of this control, and the API will be very complicated.

What do you think about this approach? To have a simple RadPickerBox containing a simple RadDataBoundListBox that supports fildering, multiple selection, sorting, etc.

That would be great, too.
As I said it would be more effort but don't mind. Quiet easy ;-)

RadDataBoundListBox is already supporting it or do I have to wait?
Any clue about the time I have to wait?

Hello Fabian,

We have  BETA2 release coming in two weeks, which will include the multiselect listbox. RTM will be with the Q2 official release coming in the middle of July.

Filter/sort is supported now in RadJumpList. You can read my series of blog posts on RadJumpList.
