"Due Date" is widely used and we will support it soon. We are planning to implement custom fields in the upcoming release and this can cover the basic scenarios. In the future we are planning to provide also a Timeline view and integration with the "Due Date" will be very handy. Till that you can use the iterations to time frame the work you have.
