hi, can this control can be modified to enable to draw ink on the imported image? such as, InkCanvas

Adding a drawing tool is in our to-do list, but currently not scheduled, so I cannot comment on its availability. However, RadImageEditor is fully extensible and provides an interface called ITool that can help you in implementing this behavior. I suggest you look through this article and the CustomTool demo here. You can also find the same demo ready for running in our SDK examples here.

I'm afraid I'm having a hard time understanding your question.

Implementing such tool in your project should not cause any issues when you upgrade your RadControls for WPF when a new version  is released. As the feature is currently not scheduled if it is necessary for your project I would recommend you follow the guidelines I referenced and implement it yourself.
