    Hi,

I have two dock panes, one contains a treeview and the other one a wrap panel with items, I'm trying to drag items from the wrap panel to the treeview, but it is not working, the documentation you provide with the WPF controls is somehow scarse and incomplete.

    Please help.

    Hello Pablo,

We are not aware of any problems affecting such scenarios. Did you check our online demo that implements a similar scenario (the link is to the Silverlight demo, there is a WPF equivalent as well):

    http://demos.telerik.com/silverlight/#DragAndDrop/TreeToGrid

Let me know if the demo doesn't help.

    Best wishes,

I am having a similar issue.

If I have a floating/dockable pane I cannot drag from the floating/dockable pane into the main application dock panel.

When the controls are docked in the main application the drag/drop works fine.

    Hello Rick,

Unfortunately I was not able to reproduce the issue. I am attaching a sample project demonstrating the functionality. Have a look at it and let me know if I am missing something. Also, I'd suggest you use our latest binaries, since with previous versions this issue might be reproducible.

    Kiril,

Thank you for this example I see that it does work in a browser applicaiton.

The trouble I am having is in a WPF windows forms application.  when the floating panes are on the windows desktop, inside the pane group area or on another monitor it does not seem to work correctly.  I am using the cue arrow indicators as well.

Could you give me a sample winforms app using the cue arrow indicators that would allow me to have floating panes on the windows desktop?

    thank you,
    Rick

    Hello Rick,

We need more time to prepare the example. Please keep an eye on this thread.

    Hi Rick Knicely,

Unfortunately the Telerik drag and drop is not working within the floating panes due to the fact that they are using popups. We have this issue logged for future implementation, but can't provide you with a workaround or sample right now.

Sorry that it took so long for adressing this scenario and thank you for your patience.

    Hello,
Is there any news about this subject?

Please, drag-n-drop between floating panes is very important to us, and it prevent us from using telerik docking system !

    Hello Miky,

Since our last post we have made many improvements in our DnD implementation and currently it supports drag drop operations between floating panes on different monitors (if you are using version earlier that our Q2 beta It requires native drag mode - http://www.telerik.com/help/wpf/raddraganddrop-enable-dragging-between-windows.html). We still have some issues with arrow drag cue (it is limited to one screen), however we are planning to write blog post or article that describes how to implement arrow cue that will work in multiple screens.

    Kind regards,
