    Hi,

Can anyone say anything about how the performance is on the new Dock component compared to the old DockingManager?

We are using the old DockingManager in a rather complex form and it takes up to 10 secs. for the form to load so we are hoping for a great performance boost in the new component.

    Thanks,
    Brian

    Hi Bo,

Thank you for your question. The new dock is noticeably faster than the old one, it is more robust, and it looks cooler. You should definitely give it a go! We will be happy if you write us back with some data about how your application performance was improved after switching to the new dock.

    Best wishes,
    Nick

I'd also say that the new Dock Manager is considerably faster, especially if you have complex documents where the old implementation sometimes causes unneeded redrawing.

    Hi Nick,

I finally got my old form converted to the new RadDock component and it seems to be a lot faster (about 40%) and what's even more important much more robust.

However I didn't expect to use about 50 hours to convert the form because of a lot of bugs in your component. Hopefully these should have been fixed now.
