I have to develop a grid which has to be grouped and sub total of each column should be displayed on group header and grand total should be displayed at footer of the grid. Please look at the image in the attachment. please help me out in developing this.

Hello Mustaq,
The group footers can be used to calculate aggregate functions for the required columns. With nested groups you can have group footer for each inner group along with one for the main group. Checkout the following demo and help document to find out more on this feature.

Is there any possible way to implement the subtotals in the headers properly now? Using the group footers isn't ideal.
