Hi,

I'm using AppFeedback in our app which will be displayed at shake event. It works very good but i like to show this options on a button click as well but it seems there is no a option or a event to trigger. Can you help me?

Kind regards,
Jelle

Hi Jelle,

In the current version of AppFeedback, the feedback functionality cannot be triggered upon a custom action. There will be such option in a future version of the product and your comments on what you expect to see will be highly appreciated.

Could you tell us if you want to use the button-as-trigger option only during the testing stage of your app (for beta testers) or even when your app goes public? Do you have any other requirements, in terms of usability, that you do not see implemented in the product yet?

It would be very nice to be able to disable the shake/3-fingers-update functionality after the app is "released"
feedback triggered by a button can still be there in a menu.

We will keep you posted on new wishes/features as we explore and learn along.
so far we are very impressed with the platform

Hello Jelle,

Thank you for your feedback and for the positive words about the Telerik Platform. I forwarded your suggestion to the development team and it will be taken into consideration when planning improvements on the product.

Best wishes,

I would like to vote for this too...i have feedback enabled as per the docs, but no amount of shaking does anything.

I would instead prefer a button for myself/users to click to provide the feedback.  At least for me I can debug if something is working instead is shaking my ipad around like a loser allover the place :)

Hello Steve,

I forwarded your request, too, to the development team.

As for the feedback plugin not working, can you confirm that you call the initialize method with the correct key in the deviceready event? Also, did you ensure that the plugins settings page is indeed saved after you enabled the plugin, as a Save All does not always save the changes in the property pages and they need to be saved explicitly.

If the problem persists, can you provide a bit more detail on the scenario - do you run the app directly on the iPad, which iOS version are you using, etc.?

Tsvetina
