Is there any way to disable the swipe scrolling with the coverflow control?  We have found on touchscreens that the swipe scrolling seems to be inconsistent, and does not work nicely.  It works better when it is done using a mouse.
Is there any way we can stop it using swipe gestures on a touch enabled screen?

Hello Andrew,

We will take a second look at the control's behavior and consider polishing it. Could you please give us more details about what you don't like in the way it currently works? This will help us to improve it in future.

For the the time being you cannot switch off this feature, but we will also consider adding such functionality in future.

The main issue we have with the swiping is actually 'clicking' or selecting one of the items in the carousel list.  In the non-touch enabled environment clicking an item brings it to the centre.  On touch mode, that doesn't work very well.  Which makes it quite hard to select a specific item.  It seems like clicking is being interpreted as a very small swipe instead of a click.

Hi Andrew,

Just to clarify the case: when you tap at an item in the carousel list it does not get selected but the control gets it as a swipe gesture.

If this is the scenario we did not manage to reproduce it. We tested it under Windows 7 (desktop), Windows 8 (desktop) and on a tablet device (running Windows 8).

As attached file you can find a video showing our approach. You will notice that the dll versions are from the latest official release (2013.2.611.1050) but we tested it under the version mentioned in your forum post. Please, take a look at it.

Alek
