Hi all,

Is it possible to use different set of tool buttons in the RADEditor depending on which user group the user belongs to? The idea is to let site administrators have a full set of features available while editors have a more limited selection.

Thanks,
Christoffer

Hi Christoffer,

Could you please specify whether you are using RadEditor for ASP.NET AJAX or RadEditor for MOSS?

Hi,

We're planning to get the full version of RadEditor and use it in MOSS  (not the lite version).

Hi Christoffer,

You can download the full featured version of RadEditor for MOSS (5.x) which is based on RadEditor for ASP.NET AJAX and is modified so that to be easily integrated with Sharepoint.  More information about RadEditor for MOSS  can be found on the following article:
http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet-ajax/moss-introduction.html

I hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Hi and thanks for the reply,

I have the full featured version (5.x) installed. The question is if it's possible to have some tools availble depending on which group the user belongs to? For instance, to only let administrators have access to the flash manager button.

Thansk,
Christoffer

Hi Christoffer,

Currently, we do not provide this feature out of the box. What we suggest is to implement your custom logic that will achieve the desired  behavior. Also, note that you can use different configuration files for the different webs. For more information on this topic, please review the following help article:
http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet-ajax/different-configuration-files-for-different-webs.html

I hope this helps.

Sincerely,
George
