windows 7, VS2010, Galaxy S3 - followed trouble shooting steps in help

1. turned on developer options then USB debugging on phone

2. Set security to allow unknown sources

3. device does not show in command line adb list

Device does show as a storage device in windows explorer and I can navigate sub folders on device from computer

Changed phone USB mode from media device to camera -(the only 2 options) no help

So despite being set in USB debug mode device is still being recognized as a storage device.

Any suggestions?

Hello Kenneth,

I am unable to reproduce this behavior on my side. Nevertheless, it seems that the issue is not related to AppBuilder and the extension for Visual Studio, due to the fact that you cannot see your device in the  devices list.

Having said that, if you do not have the Samsung Android USB Driver for Windows, you should install it and see if this helps. Also, I believe this forum thread might help you resolve this problem.

Please, let me know if this is helpful.
