I find that often when I am editing some javascript code, when I hit the delete key that a dialog pops up prompting me to delete the file I am currently editing. Apart from being a bit annoying, one day I'm going to hit ok by accident and delete what I am working on.
Using Chome Version 47.0.2526.73 in-browser client

Thank you for reporting this issue. We will need some more information in order to reproduce it and fix it.
Would you please give us the exact steps to reproduce or any additional information that might be helpful? For example, do you see the cursor blinking in the editor when this happens, is it possible that you accidentally click in the project tree area then press ey.
Thanks in advance.

I experienced that same behavior yesterday while working through the tutorials.
It happened several times while editing an app.js file.
The tutorial steps where to replace an existing function{ } with an updated version. I pasted the new version just below the current version so that I could visually compare the differences. I then highlighted the old function{ } code (I think using mouse drag to select, but I might have used keyboard via Shift-hold and down arrow). When I pressed delete button the dialog appeared prompting me regarding deletion of the entire file.
This occurred several times, although I have not been able to repeat on-demand.
The issue has been logged in our bug tracking system and we will try to reproduce it and fix it. Meanwhile, if you find a consistent pattern reproducing the issue please describe it here as it will be very helpful.
Thanks.

Hi Folks,
I think the way this occurs is when working in the in-browser client, copy a bit of code from one file. Then go to another file and paste that line into the file. Then if you hit backspace one or more times (to position the code) you are then prompted to delete the file.
Thanks for the additional information.
I have updated the logged item with it, but unfortunately we still cannot reproduce it.
If you are able to constantly reproduce it providing a recored video might help. Meanwhile we will continue trying to reproduce it on our side.
