Is there any sort of timetable for when you'll have IBM DB2 support available?
I searched the forum and didn't find a single hit for "DB2".

DB2 support would be excellent from my perspective.  I'm going to have to find another tool to do the work or probably even worse, do it all manually.  So I'll throw my request in there.

If this product supported DB2, I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Hello,
AS400 is a complete different beast. The problem here is the test environment for development and continues integration. There are huge differences to the desktop versions which makes it impossible to reuse bigger parts.

Kind regards,

Sorry but I think that if you will support SQL ANSI '92 you'll we able to support a minimal set of features but that respond to many of the requested feature for IBMDB2\AS400 integration. Obvyously all the other features of AS400 will be not suppported but i think that the kind of support i suggest you will be appreciated.
I work for a company that work for year over AS400 db and now is planning to chenge  development platform and framemork.
I'm the chief of the department that work with Microsoft Tecnology and so we are interesting to find a ORM  solution like the one you have based on Microsoft technology

I would like DB2 Support as well. As an ISV I need to support several databases at my client site, SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase and DB2/UDB. This would be great if I could generate "provider independent" code tatha could be switched at run time.

An IBM i is not a beast. It is a dinosuar. Okay. But there are a lot applications running there and it has some advantages in security, stability, ... :)

But back to topic. I could help with IBM i knowhow and could tell you a trick to get a testing environment without buying a dinosaur. What I need is a more convenient way to ride the dinosaur. :)

Kind regards
Bernd

Hi,

Due to the interest shown in this topic, I believe it will be beneficial if we have a single place where everyone that wants to have DB2 support in OpenAccess can vote for this implementation and provide comments for specific scenarios.

For that reason I have created an item in the Ideas & Feedback Portal which we can use for that purpose. Feel free to Like it and post any comments there.

All the best,
Ivailo

I agree, it is difficult to find tools that will work with iSeries data.  count my vote to include this platform.
