If you programmatically provide a localdatasource where you have specified a column group description as  DateTimeGroupDescription with Step = DateTimeStep.Day. Then at runtime if you then use the RadPivotFieldList to remove the column and add it again you lose the Step value on the column so where the columns where once broken down by day i.e 1st 2nd 3rd you now just see the year i.e 2012.

I have tried the associated context menu options but nothing allows me to select the step for the column. Is this something which may be in the next release?

    Hi Chris,

You are correct - with the current release you cannot set Step on DateTimeGroupDescription at runtime. Setting such dialog is in our to-do list and maybe it will be ready for our next official release (Q1 2013) or a little bit later.

We are sorry for the caused inconvenience. Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any other problems or concerns regarding RadPivotGrid.

    Kind regards,

    Hello Dan Ove,

This feature will be included in our next official release (Q2 2013 in June). We'll provide an easy way to use different steps for DateTimeGroupDescription and use them simultaneously.

    Hopefully this helps.
