I am using the RadDatePicker control from Prometheus (although I think the behaviour is the same using RadControls Q2 2008 as well).

I want to either select, or type in a date before January 1 1980 and it does not appear to let me do either.

I need to have the control for entering birthdates, for instance, which may well be before January 1 1980 (even in a computing context some of us are still working!)

I am assuming there is something simple I am not setting.

Hi,

it's the MinDate property - for some reason the default is set to 1980 so you need to enter a date as far back as you may need.

Hi,

You can use the MaxDate and MinDate properties to specify a range for the datepicker control. If the user tries to enter a value that is greater than the value of the MaxDate property or less than the MinDate property, the date input control signals the user that there is a problem by applying the "error" CSS style and does not update its value.
