Hi,

Two questions.

Are there any plans to provide a DataGrid control or something similar?

In the meantime how would you implement a editable hierarchtical list.

Thanks
Rich

Hi Richard,

Thank you for your question.

Currently we do not have plans to add a DataGrid component to the suite. Having in mind the screen real estate, we decided that such a user experience is not intuitive and is not Metro-compliant. Nevertheless, if more users need such functionality, we will re-evaluate our decision.

Regarding your second question:

Hierarchical data within a mobile application is a tricky thing to visualize, especially if having more than one level of depth. You can use our RadJumpList to visualize grouped data but still, it will display it as a flat list. More advanced approach would be to use flat lists for every level. Navigation to different levels may be done by clicking an Expand/Collapse button. Editing of a record will not be in-line but in a separate view. These are just my initial thoughts - the overall approach depends very much on the application design.

I hope this information is useful. Let me know if there is anything else I might help you with.
