Hello Telerik team,

Is there a way to specify that certain ItemPropertyDefinition element is required, i.e. must be specified at least once in the filter?

Hello Lilia,

I am afraid that not.

We are using the DataFilter control to specify search condition before the actual search, but we have some parameters that are required. Are you planing to implement such a functionality for the DataFilter in the future, i.e. to implement some validation for example a criteria that must be required?

Hi Lilia,

We don't have such plans, since a feature like this one is not really feasible for a control like RadDataFilter.

What you can do is build your own validation module outside RadDataFilter, since validation is not among the tasks that RadDataFilter was designed for. It simply filters data.

Greetings,
Ross
